HELLO! hahah i love Sarawak to bits! okay let me tell you about the whoooooooole trip! haha. after months of waiting and preparing, the day which we were waiting for finally happened. and the whole trip just flew by. anyway, okay.

i woke up at like 5.15am. hahah then at the airport, i checked in! YAY. lol then there were like acsi people there also checking in. neways then i had breakfast with julienne and her mom,eunice,jasmine and her family members and elvira. hahah my mom and dad went exercising i think. okay fine. running. running's a better word. exercising sounds wierd.
anyway then we boarded our plane! hahah we all took Silkair and i think the whole plane was all yellow cos of us. haha. and i think it was ling's first time sitting on a plane! :D yep. anyway then i sat with like keerthana and this girl called christine.
then at Kuching, Sarawak, we went to St Joseph Church or something like that. haha there was like a St theresea's Girls school and a SJI there. opp each other. lol then anyway we dropped clothes off at the church! :D then we went to the Kuching museum i think. all about cats. lol then had lunch at the National Library Cafe. =.= haha. yeah. buffet lar. then we took pictures!by the small lake there and then there were ducks swimming there! so cute! haha.
then after that we drove to the Fairy Caves. yeah! and uhhhh heh. we picked up the rubbish there. i raked leaves! hahahh unbelievable eh? then after that we saw yishun town people i think. hhaahh a lot of singaporeans go to sarawak!later you'll see. hahahhahh. ookok then uhhm we wnt into the cave. it was AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. yeah! i took pictures! then julienne was crapping. haha she said her fairy granddaughter from her past life still lives there. anyway then we went in. where it was like all dark. and the tour guide asked us to off all torches and just stay quiet to listen to the cave! haha. then it was like just beautiful and calming. hahah it was like cool and there were bats and stuff. yeah. but we didnt get to go into the deeper chambers cos there were like steps missing. so we couldnt cross. so we missed the supposedly most beautiful part of the cave. :(
anyway after the fairy caves we checked in into Merdaka Palace Hotel! ahahha it was DAMN NICE. we all got suites! hahah 6 to a room. haha it was damn big lah! i got the master bedroom. YEAH! and the bathtub. haahah then we had reflective breakouts. after that i slept with jasmine. HAHAHAHAHAH. yeah! okay.

SECOND DAY.25th May 2007.

we took a bus ride to Batang Ai! <33 then we had a 4.5hour ride and then we stopped along the roadside to look at the wild orchids and the uh pitcher plants! damn nice. then after that we stopped at this bazaar at lachiau to buy tibbits. lol there were lots of roosters there lar and every few seconds you would hear a cockledoodledo. lol then after that we were offered our packed lunch with uhm bread and muffins and a pizza in it. then i only ate half a pizza,which wsa wierd. and muffins. then i brought the rest back to the hotel. haha but i never ate it. anyway we went to the hydro power station. damn nice lar the scenery there like that the top of the dam! haha and that power station supplies 40% of sarawak's electricity. lol. yeah. then we went to Batang Ai Hilton Resort. it was like designed to that of a longhouse like the ibans'. yeah damn nice. the room was quite cosy. :D haha and we had dinner there followed by reflective breakouts. lol

yes. hahah the best day ever.we had hotel breakfast as usual. ahahah i miss hotel breakfast. anyway we drove to the this place to take a long boat through the forest. yeah! it was this yellow, whining river which cut through the forest which was preetttty .haha! yeah. i loved the boat ride. yeah. then uhm the boat was super low, which made the ride even more enjoyable. ahah. then on the way we passed children swimming in the river! so nice! hahah. yeah.
anyway then we finally reached the place! hahah there was like a circle rainbow around the sun! hahah. anyway there was this elderly lady greeting us with a gong thing. hha. then we went up to their village and went into the iban longhouse!<3 and then they performed this traditional welcoming dance. and we tried to immitate them. lol then we went into their individual rooms! hha there was a TV set ! and like 2 kuchings haha which means cat if im not wrong. anyway then the room was quite dark lar. lol. what i loved most was the people there! haha they were so hospitable and friendly. yeah. and the chief too. anyway then after that we watched a blowpipe demo. ahah damn cool. yeah.
after that we had lunch at the riverbank. yeah! loved it. even thogh there were LOTS AND LOTS of flies. anyway they put raw chicken in hollow bamboo sticks and cooked them. and then they fried fish. yeah! hahah over the campfire. lol and there was rice and veggie. yeah. so we ate with a leaf as a plate and a spoon.lol. then after lunch, like lots of people went into the sun to skip stones by the riverbank. yeah. then there was this little boy who was damn cute who was damn pro(i took a picture with him!). hahah and this other boy who was quite chubby. everyone ostracised him. so sad. haha. yeah. i found this little boy in yellow and green cute though! hahah think he's like 4 or 5 years old.
anyway after that , we took our boats back to where the bus was parked. and then we went back to Hilton. yeah and we worked on our social commentary. lol! then we had dinner again at the hotel. hahah then we watched another traditional dance by the ibans again. yeah! haha i just love the music. haha from the dance. yeah. then after that we played some music there and just danced and danced. until like 9.30 was it?i forgot. then we learned to weave! hahah its like my new found love. haha. then after that we had our reflective breakouts cancelled.cos it was too late. :D ANYWAY, that day i realised i could really tolerate the flies and forest and in the longhouse, there were like hundreds of ants and i didnt really care. hahah wierd huh? but hahah i guess thats a good thing! whoo.

we took a long long busride back to Kuching! we had lunch at this place with a waterfall with people swimming in it. lol. and i had to use the toilet. BUT IT WAS LIKE ALL SQUAT ONE LAH. YUCKSYUCKS. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. kay in the end i still went. okok anyway then we had kfc for lunch.

we went to this pottery place. lol then we say like the processes and stuff. and we bought stuff from there! hahah. almost everything was like half price. super worth it! haha. after that, we went to like Parkson mall to shop! hahah but there wasnt really anything worth buying. its the same compared to singapore shopping malls. lol.

DINNER! we had STEAMBOAT! DAMN NICE LAH. elvira and julienne are good cooks! hahah. loved that dinnner. then after that we went to this cultural shop. yeah and i bought some stuff. hahah. for people. yeah! then we headed back to Merdaaka! hahah yeah hmm at midnight 2C1 gathered at silvana's suite and wished her happy birthday! we're so sweet right?yeah!lol.

LAST DAY. 28th May 2007.

hahah. oh shit i forgot what happened. anyway we went up the bus after checking out of merdaka. then we went to the Sarawak Cultural Village! haha damn nice. they had all the tribal houses of like the ibans and the orang ulus and the bidayuhs.then got longhouses and tallhouses. ahah so nice! then there was this guy playing this wooden instrument and an AMP plugged in. like LOL. yeah! i love the tribes there. lol. then the orang ulus(hahah or was it lauts?or sth like that) had like this big picture painted on the chief's room. its a family tree! lol only certain ppl know how to read it. anyway. they love the hornbills. ahhah.

anyway after that, we wached this traditional dance of all the tribes. damn nice. then there were xinmin sec people there! and viona saw her priskl mate and ms wendy tan saw her ex student. haha. so small and cute. anyway then we went to this seafood restaurant and ate lunch with the children from the salvation army. my boy was SO CUTE LAH! he's 4! and he's super cute. hahahahaha guess what?i actually fed him lunch. eah! then we went to see the fishes and then i gave him presents. then.. he needed to pee. lol. then he held his there and gave that SHHH sound. and i didnt know what he was saying lar damn it. lol then i thought he wanted to take pictures. then eunice was like " he wants to go pee lah!" lol then i brought him to the toilet. =/ and luckily i saw ms li and she took him to the toilet. and helped him wash his hands. whew. haha thankyou ms li!

lol then after that we went to the Sambutong Resort for high tea! DAMN NICE i love the cakes. haha. then the place was beautiful lar. i think some beauty peagant was held there last year or sth. yeah.

hahah after that we went to this fishing village. lol we were supposed to see their way of life. but then it was a super hot day so i dont think anyone would be fishing. so we left. for like this place called sin piao. lol which sold like souvienirs and birds nest and pepper candy which IS NICE. lol then i bought lots of stuff including durian sweet! lol and i saw keith and his mom there! like what a coincidence. lol he was with his boys and girls brigade thing.lol

yeah then we went to the airport.:\ yeah and then we took pix with the tour guides! i miss them already! AHHHH! they were like so friendly lar. lol. anyway yeah so on the plane i sat with xinyi and this girl called eudia. yeah! haha. quite nice lar. lol then we arrived in SINGAPORE! home sweet home. haha. whoo.

so i think i really learned a hell lot from the trip. and i seriously miss it. lol. the craziness. lol. okay and okay i've come to a conclusion. sarawak's fishes are nice to eat. yeah.okay seeyou!
